Referees Beginner School - July 26th & 28th

Do you look good in black and white? Do you have the qualities of leadership, self discipline and visual impairment? Maybe it’s time you thought about a career in refereeing. The referee’s beginner school is the first step in learning the rules and mechanics of basketball officiating, it will be held over two evenings at Xavier College's upstairs classroom (Barkers Road, Kew). Melbourne turned on some awesome autumn weather for the biggest day in the season at the Hawthorn Basketball Association. Despite the sun shining and it being a perfect day to spend outdoors, the action was indoors at the Boroondara Sports Complex, Methodist Ladies College and Xavier College where each of the divisions of the junior competition were represented by the two best teams who fought it out for the title.
