Playing in Multiple Grades
Added 23 May 2007
There is a growing trend of players playing in multiple grades. There are circumstances where this is permitted and circumstances where this is not permitted. In cases where a player plays in another grade and they are ineligible to play, the result of the match they played in will be reversed, costing the team in question premiership points. Here is clarification on the rule. Players are allowed to move from their primary team up a division to fill in or play permanently. e.g. A player who usually plays in C Grade is allowed to play in an A Grade team. Players are NOT allowed to move from their primary team down a division to fill in or play permanently. A player who usually plays in A reserve is not allowed to play in a B grade team. There was an instance of this in the A Reserve of the mens competition in round 4 where the result of the match was reversed due to the ineligibility of a player playing in that match.
