2008 Mens Winter Season Finals Fixtures

The finals are here for the 2008 winter season of mens basketball. Below are the fixtures for the finals which begin on Thursday 31st July 2008. The format of the finals this season as always is a top 4 system. 1 v 2 for the right to progress straight to the grand final on August 14th. 3 v 4 playoff for a place in the preliminary against the loser of the 1 v 2 semi. All finals will be played at the Boroondara Sports Complex.

Check the mens qualified players list to ensure your team members are eligible to participate in the finals.

To qualify for finals a player must have scored, fouled or signed the back of the score sheet in a minimum of six matches. Byes do not count as a game played.

All teams will pay the regular match fee of $50.00

Timing Rules for Finals:
2 X 20 minute halves
The clock will stop on all whistles in the last three minutes of the second half
The clock will stop on all time outs
Each team is entitled to (2) time outs per half
In the case of a drawn game a further 5 minutes of over time will be played, each team will retain their shooting end, 2nd half team fouls and the clock will stop on all whistles
Each team is entitled to (1) time out in any overtime period
A door charge of $2.00 will apply to all spectators for Grand Finals
