VIEW 2009 RULE CHANGES - HAWTHORN

Every few years FIBA, basketball’s sports governing body conducts a review into the rules of the game and makes changes to improve our sport. Recent reviews have resulted in changes to the rule book in 2006 and again in October 2008. However, there has been some confusion into which rules apply at domestic level at Hawthorn. A decision has been made to implement all rule changes with some minor modifications for practical reasons to suit our domestic and representative competitions.

These rule changes will take effect as of 1st January 2009.
